Copy Winamp 1.x.rarkarus.zip and unzip the contents to somewhere on your hard drive. Copy and paste the newly extracted folder into the Winamp/Plugins directory. Restart Winamp.

There are many Winamp plugins that can handle RAR and ZIP files in place of the Read.rar and.zip files Winamp Wishlist.
Winamp 3.0 and 4.0 can read RAR and ZIP files directly without the need for WinRAR plugins.
Winamp 5.x and 6.x can also read RAR and ZIP files without the need for WinRAR plugins.
Winamp 7 and Winamp 8 can read RAR and ZIP files without the need for WinRAR plugins.
Files in RAR and ZIP format used to be (and still are) quite widely used in audiobooks.
